Swedish is the most common type of relaxation massage in the United States. It includes firm but gentle gliding strokes, kneading, isolated friction to remove "knots", compressions, and rocking. Desired pressure is your preference and can be light, medium, or deep.
Deep Tissue Massage is not Swedish Massage with deeper pressure. It is a more focused and intense approach that reorganizes connective tissue (fascia) and muscle in particular areas that contribute to chronic pain or have become imbalanced due to injury or years of improper body mechanics.
